Inn. | Kernville is a unique
town nestled in the Southern Sierra Nevada mountains about 3 hours north
of Los Angeles and 5 hours from San Diego. The Kern River
Valley offers year around recreational activities on both the Kern River and Lake
Isabella. With the river emptying into Lake Isabella down the road,
nearby activities include whitewater rafting, kayaking, fishing, water
skiing, windsurfing and jet skiing are among some of the water sports
available. Additional activities include golf, hiking, mountain
biking, gold panning and rock climbing. Short scenic drives include
the High Country, the Trail of a Hundred Giants, Dome Rock, the Needles
and Sherman Pass overlook.
